International Mobility
Overview
International Mobility at Faculty of Engineering, Ain Shams University is dedicated to enhancing global engagement and fostering international collaboration. It supports the mobility of faculty staff, students, and visitors, contributing to a rich and diverse academic environment. From 2021 to 2024, the Faculty facilitated the mobility of over 1,100 staff and students, fostering a vibrant exchange of knowledge, culture, and expertise.

The faculty has experienced remarkable growth in the number of visiting professors, increasing more than 22 times between 2021 and 2024. This expansion has enabled us to host a wide array of workshops and academic exchanges, underscoring our commitment to fostering international collaboration. Through these efforts, we have strengthened partnerships with esteemed universities and institutions worldwide, contributing to the professional development of our faculty and enriching our academic community.
Visiting Students
Our faculty has experienced a remarkable growth in the number of visiting students from 2021 to 2024. This steady increase reflects our dedication to fostering international academic engagement and cultural exchange, attracting students from diverse backgrounds to participate in enriching workshops and collaborative programs.
International Events
The International Collaboration Office has had the privilege of hosting numerous significant events, welcoming delegations from prestigious institutions and esteemed embassies. These events reflect our commitment to fostering global partnerships and creating opportunities for academic and cultural exchange.
Our students at the Faculty of Fine Arts and Architecture, Lebanese University in Lebanon, participating in a workshop titled "Branding Saida: An Open Canvas for Urban Regeneration Solutions" in July 2023.
Our students at Ajman University in the UAE, participating in a workshop titled "Visual Identity in Arab Cities" in February 2024.
The faculty organized one-week international workshop for a visiting delegation of architects and urban planners from Stuttgart, Germany. The program included different lectures among them a lecture titled “Think BIM/CIM: A Way to City Information Modeling” in March 2023.
Mrs. Stavroula Spanoudi, MSc, Director of the Hellenic Foundation for Culture – Annex of Alexandria, delivering a seminar entitled "Water and Wastewater Management in Ancient Alexandria" in February 2024.
Hosting a Tunisian delegation of visiting professors and students from the National School of Architecture in Tunisia, who participated in an international workshop held in May 2024.
Reception of a delegation of visiting professors and graduate students from the Institut für Städtebau at TU Graz, Austria, at the Faculty for an International Workshop in November 2023.
