Since the establishment of the Faculty of Engineering of Ain Shams University in 1950, basic science topics such as mathematics, physics, mechanics, and chemistry have been merged under a single department known as the Department of Mathematical and Natural Science. Basic science courses serve as the foundation for advanced engineering sciences. The Department of Engineering Physics and Mathematics (PHM) is committed to preparing the best engineers and leaders. Physics and engineering mechanics are widely regarded as the most significant sciences for gaining a better knowledge of the processes that occur in our surroundings. Mathematics is mental training as well as a process for dealing with and creatively addressing issues through analysis, computation, and experimentation.
