Facilities and Labs
Luban Automotive Workshop
Luban Workshop was established in 2020 at Ain Shams University (ASU) as a collaboration between Egypt and China in technology education. The ASU Luban Workshop aims to provide students and graduates from various engineering and technological disciplines with hands-on experience and practical application in three main fields, including automotive inspection and maintenance.
Automotive Lab
The Automotive Lab is a dynamic facility dedicated to a wide range of educational and research activities. It hosts teaching tutorials and lab sessions for academic courses, supports courses and final-year graduation projects, and facilitates the research work for both postgraduate students and academic staff. Additionally, the lab serves as a hub for extracurricular activities, providing students with hands-on experience and opportunities to apply their knowledge in practical environments.
Vehicle Dynamics Lab
for researching vehicle tires and the suspension systems of modern cars. The laboratory facilitates two devices for simulating the movement of tires on different roads using flywheel technology, as well as a testing device for simulating unpaved road conditions on the car’s suspension system.
Autotronics Research Lab (ARL)
The lab is a research facility specializing in robotics, autonomous vehicle technologies, and artificial intelligence with a diverse portfolio of projects ranging from autonomous mobile robots to Level 4 self-driving cars.
The students actively participate in national and international competitions, showcasing the expertise and driving progress in robotics and AI in addition to offering specialized training sessions and workshops.
Engines Lab
This laboratory specializes in research studying the uses of green energy and renewable energy in the field of internal combustion engines ICE to create a broader horizon of the field of alternatives fossil fuels and how to improve their performance.
