Competences
In addition to the competences for Graduates from Ain Shams University and all Engineering Programs, the Electronics and Communications Engineering Program graduate must be able to:
- Select, model and analyze electrical power systems applicable to the specific discipline by applying the concepts of: generation, transmission and distribution of electrical power systems.
- Design, model and analyze an electrical/electronic/digital system or component for a specific application; and identify the tools required to optimize this design.
- Design and implement elements, modules, sub-systems or systems using technological and professional tools.
- Estimate and measure the performance of an electrical/electronic system and circuit under specific input excitation and evaluate its suitability for a specific application.
- Adopt suitable national and international standards and codes to: design, build, operate, inspect and maintain electrical/electronic/digital equipment, systems and services.
- Understand the underlying physical phenomena and limitations of the performance of components and systems in electronics and communication engineering.
- Demonstrate the ability to model and analyse components and systems in electronics and communication engineering and identify the software tools required to optimize their performance.
- Design and compare between alternative components and systems in electronics and communication engineering.
- Demonstrate the knowledge about measurement equipment and demonstrate the ability to use them to characterize components and systems in electronics and communication engineering.
- Demonstrate the knowledge about state of the art of components and systems in Electronics and Communication Engineering.
