Scientific Field Visit by Students of the Faculty of Archaeology Ain Shams University to the Survey Laboratory of the Faculty of Engineering Ain Shams University.
Under the supervision of Professor Omar ElHusseiny, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Professor Ahmed Moneeb ElSabbagh, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, and Professor Ahmed Ragheb, Coordinator of Student Activities at the Faculty of Engineering, and on Thursday, December 3rd, 2024, 50 students from the Faculty of Archaeology of Ain Shams University visited the survey laboratory. Dr. Emad Al-Din Ibrahim, a teacher of the restoration of archaeological architecture, oversaw the visit. The students heard a detailed explanation from Professor Ahmed Ragheb, a professor of survey and geodesy, and Dr. Tarek Walid, a doctor of survey and geodesy, of the equipment and applications of the laboratory. Students also participated in practical training using lab tools. This visit aims to provide archaeology students with practical training in tools and methodologies relevant to their field, collaboration between faculties, and knowledge from different disciplines.
