Teacher Support and Development Center
A center for teacher support and development will be established at the Faculty of Engineering, Ain Shams University, pursuant to the initial approval of the University Council in its session on June 25, 2018, based on the proposal of the Faculty of Engineering Council in its session on May 14, 2018.

To develop teachers’ competencies for sustainable engineering education.
Mission
To produce education didactics modules, adopt the most advanced technological tools to satisfy Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and commit to continuous growth in a challenging environment. TSDC aims to make the most out of the available resources and uncover potential capabilities. Our graduates at Faculty of Engineering, Ain Shams University will be the leading model for engineering graduates in Egypt. Hence, our academic teachers are keen to abide by the highest levels of cultural values and ethical priorities and boost creativity and innovation of academic teachers while respecting a sense of belonging.
Objectives
- Establishing a culture of continuous learning and cooperation and emphasizing the spirit of friendliness and understanding between teachers and Faculty members.
- Developing teaching and learning processes in the various programs of the Faculty.
- Supporting teachers to adopt educational techniques and strategies such as CDIO / Lean Design.
- Supporting teachers in developing their courses and linking them to industry and labor market applications.
- Supporting teachers in the transition to e-learning and hybrid education.
- Including sustainable development goals in the curricula of various programs.
- Including general engineering skills in the curricula of various programs such as teamwork, communication skills, critical thinking, etc.
- Developing teacher guides, such as a code of conduct, a guide for various activities during the teaching process.
- Developing the performance of administrative staff involved with students.
- Applying tools and strategies in teaching general courses to college students.
- Providing training for previous graduates of the College of Engineering to raise their efficiency to keep pace with modern developments and the latest requirements of the labor market.

- Providing awareness clips and managing the center’s page on YouTube @ASU-FoE-TSDC.
- Managing the college’s page on YouTube @FacultyOfEngineering-AinShams.
- Supporting faculty members in preparing the study regulations at the undergraduate level.
- Contributing to preparing the college’s future foresight report.
- Work of the Secretariat of the Innovation and Student Activities Committee.
