E-Learning Unit

Overview

  • The E-Learning Unit at the Faculty of Engineering, Ain Shams University, was launched in January 2021.
  • The unit's main goal is to enhance the effectiveness of online and hybrid courses by providing guidance, advice, and useful resources to faculty members and students in this field.
  • The unit also aims to support faculty members, teaching assistants, and students in transforming the teaching and learning process into a more advanced and interactive experience through digital transformation tools and available resources.

Objectives

  • Assist faculty members in enhancing the quality of online courses according to sound academic principles.
  • Support professors in using technology to develop and update the educational process.
  • Provide necessary advice for the development of the educational process within the faculty's development plans.
  • Raise awareness within the educational system about the importance, methods, and effectiveness of E-learning to foster interaction within this system.
  • Provide diverse and varied information sources to allow making comparison, discussion, analysis, and evaluation.
  • Monitor the faculty's laboratories and their efficiency for being used by students for dealing with online courses and exams within the college.
  • Issue a guide for E-learning for students and teachers.
